What soil top dressing does
Our native clay is nutrient-rich but tight, and sandy areas drain too fast. Organic matter fixes both problems: it opens up clay so roots and water can move, and it holds moisture in sand.

Leveling low spots and ruts
Small dips, settled utility trenches and tire ruts can be brought up with repeated thin applications. We build the grade a quarter inch or so at a time so the existing grass grows through instead of smothering — filling a two-inch dip in one pass just kills the turf underneath.
On its own schedule
Top dressing is based on what your soil actually needs, and it can also follow a seeding to hold moisture around new seed if the timing lines up.
What we use
A screened, fully finished soil blend that spreads evenly and won't leave debris or clumps in the lawn. We match the material and depth to your soil and to whether the lawn was recently seeded.
